As a teacher I believe...
In building a positive and safe environment to inspire and support risk taking. I believe in empowerment.
Among my teaching, as we investigate the elements of space, time, and energy, we practice anatomical efficiency, in order to deepen the understanding of our bodies. If a student has kinesthetic understanding, he or she can promote longevity and cleaner stronger lines of performance. I desire to promote the use of momentum, weight, and breath in my classes. I use imagery in my teaching vocabulary in all levels to develop our innate understanding of movement. I motivate my students physically and intellectually. I encourage connection, individuality and the development of each students artistic voice. I treat dance as a gift and I am thankful for every student that crosses my path.

You can learn the technique, but passion is cultivated through dedication, love, pride, and respect in your work.
